Job summary

Celebree School in Sterling, VA is hiring an Entry Level Support Staff / Floater. The role supports lead teachers, ensures high standards of care and education, and fills in as needed across classrooms.

This is an entry-level position with opportunities for advancement within a supportive team. You will work with children of various ages, assist with curriculum support, meal/snack duties, and daily operations while maintaining safety and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a preschool setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support throughout the school as needed, working with children of various ages and developmental stages.
• Move between classrooms to provide coverage and support daily operations.
• Serve as a substitute teacher when a teacher is absent or unavailable.
• Relieve teachers for scheduled bathroom breaks, lunches, and planning time while maintaining staff-to-child ratios.
• Support Lead and Assistant Teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum, lesson plans, and activities.
• Assist with handwashing, toileting, diapering, and other self-care routines.
• Prepare and distribute AM and PM snacks according to guidelines and food safety standards.
• Assist with meal setup, service, and cleanup.
• Maintain snack inventory and communicate supply needs to administration.
• Clean and maintain the kitchen area and appliances.
• Communicate professionally with parents, families, staff, and administration.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.
• Commit to ongoing education and growth.
• Ensure child safety by following licensing regulations and school policies.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by following licensing regulations, school policies, and emergency procedures.
