Job description

Position: Security Dispatcher

Location: Reno, NV

Employment Type: Full Time - Eligible for Benefits

Schedule: Night shift, 1800-0630, Biweekly hours: 72

Position Purpose

This role involves performing complex duties related to receiving incoming calls, radio traffic, alarm systems, and dispatching for security, environmental services, clinical engineering, maintenance, fire, resuscitation, hazardous materials spills, traumas, infant/child abduction, weather emergencies, and other urgent responses. Under supervision, operates emergency systems and communication devices to handle emergency and non-emergency calls, determines priorities, dispatches accordingly, and documents communications. Monitors alarm systems, surveillance cameras, and manages after-hours calls.

Nature and Scope

Maintains current knowledge of alarm and surveillance systems, responds to various alarms, and manages security responses during emergencies. Coordinates system repairs and ensures effective communication with emergency agencies. This position does not involve patient care.
