A day in the life of a Support Referrals Senior Consultant, and what it takes to do the job!

The Senior Consultant II is responsible for supporting management in ensuring consistency and objectivity by conducting ongoing, quality investigations of Property policy coverage and damages through communicating with adjusters and defense counsel to review the claim file and determine claim value. The individual monitors trial activity and assists in developing highly complex litigation strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluates and provides authorization on complex Property files, ensuring alignment with company guidelines, legal standards, and best practices for claim resolution.
  • Documents a system with notes, evaluations, and decision-making process.
  • Performs open and closed audits of highly complex Property files including full file, partial file, payment, and outcome audits.
  • Assists management in developing strategies to address highly complex Property files, damage evaluation, opportunities in file quality, and process execution through review and analysis of related measurements.
  • Acts as a resource to MCO on highly complex Property claim or coverage matters and high severity claims.
  • May serve as a subrogation or arbitration panelist.
  • Participates in or leads Telephone Conferences regarding highly complex claims referred to Home Office.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This job does not have supervisory duties.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree (Preferred).
  • 3 or more years of Litigation experience (Preferred).
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Property Adjuster Licensing in all states is required.


FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
  • Applies highly advanced knowledge of insurance policy, coverage, and regulation.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $78,600.00 - 142,275.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
