Job summary

Novalink Solutions is seeking ASRS Production Support Java Software Developers in Phoenix, Arizona. This role contributes to maintaining core business operations, ensuring system uptime, and developing Java web applications.

Job Summary

ASRS Production Support Java Software Developers contribute to the reliability, capability, and efficiency of our core business operations. Our support and maintenance portfolio includes a variety of critical, ongoing systems—ranging from processing monthly payments through banking institutions and enhancing online services for members, to reengineering legacy client-server applications into modern intranet web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure system uptime, diagnosing complex production issues, and deploying critical patches and enhancements.
• Work closely with a team of 4–7 technical peers under ASRS business and technology leaders and an experienced Technical Lead.
• Use modern DevOps concepts and tools, including Atlassian Jira for issue tracking and deployment pipeline.
• Troubleshoot, patch, and optimize systems across the application stack.
• Write and maintain automated test scripts to prevent regressions (Cucumber, Selenium).
• Tweak front‑end views and manage application flow; tune queries, fix APIs, and ensure data integrity.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of five years’ working experience in IT.
• Minimum of three years developing Java web applications or web services.
• Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD)/Test Driven Development (TDD) using Cucumber.
• Familiarity with all phases of the software development lifecycle; experience with Agile Scrum preferred.
• Experience in systems analysis, application design, quality assurance, and coordination of multiple enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of secure software development practices and vulnerability remediation.
• Applied knowledge of version control, configuration management, and continuous integration.

Expert‑Level Technical Knowledge

• Code quality tools.
• Security processes and tools.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development or Information Technology (highly desired).
• Participation in continued education considered a plus.

Benefits & Work Environment

• Contract‑to‑Hire: Eligible for conversion to a Full‑Time State Employee after 6 months, pending HR interview and offer.
• Location: Phoenix, Arizona – in‑office position, 40 hours per week. Transition to remote possible after FTE conversion.
• Visa sponsorship not available; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Windows workstation will be provided for remote access to ASRS‑related work.
