Job Description

• Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Perform cleanup duties.
• Perform material handling and storage duties.
• Work with Authorized inspector on code work.
• Develop and track weld data sheets.
• Apply knowledge of Power Plant Quality processes.
• Understand Failure Mechanism – Tubes.
• Familiar with EPRI (Organization that helps/consults with Power Plants on Quality Inspections).
• Perform boiler tube inspections identifying boiler leaks, tube conditions, make repair recommendations, inspect and track welds in the field.
• CWI not needed but would be a plus.
• Power Plant Experience.
• Welding knowledge and understanding of WPS and metallurgy.
• Able to perform visual and PT weld examinations.
• Write outage reports with inspection findings, status of repairs and recommendations for future repairs.
• Familiar with boiler pressure parts and piping codes.
• Must be willing to work at heights off ladders, scaffolds, sky climbers, and peg boards.
• Must be able to certify to Level 2 VT, PT, and MT inspections.
