Position Title: HealthAssistant
Reports to: Site Administrator
FLSA Designation: Non-exempt
Calendar: 9 month
SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting the school nurse(s) in protecting the health of students and school personnel. The health clerk functions under the supervision and direction of a certified school nurse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES: Assist in supervision of students
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: HS diploma or GED
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Certified in CPR and First Aid
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies.
