Position Details

Position: Support Care Professional Team Lead (Recreation)

Work Location: Poplarville Community Homes, 1501 South Shivers St., Poplarville, MS 39570

Pay: $31,744.97 annually

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday - Thursday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, with possible variations including nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and directing recreational activities
• Select materials, equipment, scenery, or costumes for activities
• Assist in training new staff and ongoing staff development
• Enter data into the PPS system
• Observe and report on recreational activities and participant reactions
• Supervise volunteers, attendants, or helpers
• Coach, instruct, and supervise games and athletic events
• Organize indoor games, dances, and parties
• Work with special groups or individuals
• Maintain recreational equipment
• Perform related duties as assigned
• Collaborate with direct care staff on the floor
