Job summary

Invenergy, headquartered in Chicago, seeks a System Administrator to operate in a Windows-based IT/OT environment and serve as the final escalation point for the Service Desk. The role supports 24x7 operations, after-hours monitoring, and on-call rotation to ensure system availability across enterprise sites.

Responsibilities include resolving complex IT/OT incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to change management and knowledgebase development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • Three (3+) years of experience supporting enterprise IT environments or Service Desk operations.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft environments including Microsoft 365, server and workstation operating systems.
  • Experience with incident management, escalation, and troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Maintain documentation and support knowledgebase development.
  • Support 24x7 monitoring of IT and OT systems, including control center operations.
  • Respond to system alerts, outages, and critical incidents during after-hours periods.
  • Initiate incident response efforts including triage, escalation, and coordination.
  • Participate in two-person incident response model when severity triggers are met.
  • Engage and coordinate with primary and secondary on-call resources.
  • Ensure system stability and monitoring continuity during incidents.
  • Perform structured handoffs between shifts to maintain operational continuity.

As a System Administrator, you will operate in a Microsoft Windows-based environment supporting both IT and OT systems, including control center operations. You will serve as the final point of escalation for the Service Desk, owning complex incident resolution across enterprise systems and sites. Basic Qualifications

Base Pay $88,000.00 - $108,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 20% - 30% #LI-Hybrid
