BusserThe Busser at any Smith restaurant is responsible for providing a clean and pleasant dining experience by clearing, sanitizing, and resetting tables. They ensure that the restaurant is well stocked with necessary items such as silverware, plates, napkins, and glasses.The Busser will work closely with other teammates in the front and back of house, by communicating powerfully to ensure a smooth operation and enjoyable experience for guests. The Busser must be highly organized, and detail-oriented. They will work with teammates to provide impeccable service to guests. Commitment, enthusiasm, integrity, humility, sense of team, and grace under pressure are required.Accountabilities includePreparing dining areas before guests are guests are seatedRemove dirty utensils and replenish as neededClean and reset tables after guests leaveAssisting teammates with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils, and napkinsInforming teammates about guest feedback or requestsMaintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areasClocking in and out for every shift at kiosk terminalIdeal skills and attributesAbility to multi-task and move with urgency and intention in a fast-paced environmentUnderstanding of hygiene and food safety rulesPhysical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hoursExcellent communication skillsAbility to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environmentAble to lift 20-40 poundsAble to stand, walk (up and down flights of stairs), reaching, for 100% of work timeFood RunnerA food runner at any Smith Restaurant ensures guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner. The food runner is accountable for serving food orders, removing used dishes and utensils and providing excellent customer service to guests in a fast-paced environment.The food runner will work closely with other teammates in both the front and back of house, by communicating powerfully to ensure a smooth operation and enjoyable experience for guests.
