Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform supply duties related to requisition, receipt, storage, issue, replenishment, inventory and control of medical and non-medical items.
• Forecast stock levels and manage supply flow based on usage, delivery times and demand.
• Reconcile outstanding actions and expedite urgent deliveries via correspondence and calls.
• Provide guidance and training to clinic staff on supply matters.
• Review records to identify errors and initiate corrective actions.
• Use automated supply system software to place daily dental supply orders, including Prime Vendor and office supplies.

About the Position: This position is located at Darnall Army Medical Center, Clinical Dentistry at Fort Hood, Texas.This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

• Perform a variety of supply duties relating to the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, replenishment, inventory, and control of supplies, standard medical and non-medical (stocked and non-stocked) items.
• Forecast and maintain stock levels and supply flow according to usage rates, delivery time, current demand, items on hand, and cost based on quantities ordered.
• Review status of actions and changes in requirements by reconciling due outs and expediting delivery of urgently required items through correspondence and telephone calls.
• Provide guidance and required training to all clinic staff on supply matters.
• Research potential errors in records and reports and initiates action to reconcile or correct errors.
• Use automated computer supply system software and manual procedures to perform daily dental supply ordering transactions to include Prime Vendor supplies and to order office supplies.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Moderate to heavy lifting up to 40 pounds may be required.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
