Job summary

Akima Intra-Data (AID) seeks a supply operations specialist to work under the Customer Support Supervisor. You will handle day-to-day supply, stock control, document control and equipment and accountability, with duties also covering EAID records and ELMS transactions.

You will perform annual inventories, on-base visits, and quarterly training while adapting to a flexible schedule including nights and weekends; position is on-site in Biloxi, MS.

Qualifications

  • Four years of USAF base supply experience or equivalent supply/warehousing experience.
  • Experience with USAF supply processes and ability to review/interpret instructions.
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain government vehicle license.
  • Demonstrated use of industrial powered equipment (forklift, stock pickers, pallet jacks).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure supply activities comply with USAF guidance and policy.
  • Read, understand and interpret Air Force Manuals and governing directives.
  • Perform technical supply management for equipment assets (EAID) excluding vehicles.
  • Process inputs to add/change/delete records for host/satellite units.
  • Process ELMS transactions for equipment assets received/added/deleted/shipped.
  • Conduct Annual Organizational Visits and brief leadership on results.
  • Perform physical inventory counts of equipment and warehouse assets.
  • Conduct quarterly Supply Block Training on Equipment Management.
  • Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and be on-call.
  • Use barcode scanners and ILS-S to record transactions and update DOLI/balances.
  • Operate forklift and MHE to load/unload supply items.

Job description

Individuals will work directly under the Customer Support Supervisor and perform day-to-day supply operations and all assigned tasks within Customer Service, Stock Control, Document Control and Equipment and Accountability. Positions also cover responsibilities outlined under Inventory Accountability section.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure supply activities comply with published USAF guidance and policy. Read, understand and interpret Air Force Manuals, governing supply systems, policies and other established guidelines.
  • Review current operating procedures outlined in the manual and other applicable directives.
  • Ability to recognize problems, collect necessary data to establish the facts and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • This position performs technical supply management work for equipment items maintained on Equipment Authorized/In-use Details (EAID) with the exception of vehicles.
  • Research, prepare, and process inputs to add, change, or delete organizational records for host, satellite and geographically separated units.
  • Process input transactions in the Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) database for equipment assets that are received, added, deleted or shipped.
  • Conduct Annual Organizational Visits (AOV) on base organizations containing EAID assets and validate Capital Asset Reporting. Compile report and brief LRS/CC and organization commanders on results.
  • Performs physical inventory count of equipment assets, warehouse assets and other materials.
  • Conduct quarterly Supply Block Training classes on Equipment Management and perform on-base organization visits on supply programs to evaluate supply support and effectiveness.
  • Require ability to work a flexible schedule based on the changing priorities of the department to include extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays and be on-call as necessary.
  • Use asset barcode scanner and related Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S) to record transactions and update system Date of Last Inventory (DOLI) and balances.
  • Utilizes forklift and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to load and unload supply items.
  • Require ability to work a flexible schedule based on the changing priorities of the department to include extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays and be on-call as necessary.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Four years of United States Air Force Base Supply experience or a minimum of four years of supply/warehousing experience.
  • Experience with USAF Supply processes and able to review and interpret Air Force supply instructions and regulations.
  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and the ability to obtain and maintain a government vehicle driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated use of industrial powered and mechanical material handling equipment, (forklift, side loaders, stock pickers, pallet jacks, etc.).
