Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks a Supply Technician to support turn-in and receiving operations in Anchorage, AK. You will verify documentation, perform inspections, and tag items for serviceability, while maintaining records in GCSS-Army and other systems.

You will work with unit supply personnel, warehouses, and transport teams to ensure timely processing. A background check and ability to obtain a CAC are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.
  • Basic proficiency in English (reading/writing).
  • Knowledge of Army logistical functions and supply processes.
  • 2–4 years in logistics, warehousing, or supply (Army or contractor environment preferred).
  • Familiarity with Army turn-in, supply, or property accountability operations is desired.
  • Experience with Army regulations and logistic systems (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1).
  • Ability to interpret and process supply documentation (DA/DD forms).
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills; ability to operate MHE safely.

Job description

AGL is looking for a Supply Technician to work in Anchorage, AK.

Responsibilities
  • Turn-In & Receiving Operations:
  • Process equipment and materiel turn-ins from U.S. Army units in accordance with AR 710-2, AR 735-5, and DA PAM 710-2-1.
  • Verify turn-in documentation (e.g., DA Form 1348-1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct visual inspections and apply correct condition codes (A-H) for serviceability.
  • Identify, segregate, and properly tag unserviceable, reparable, or excess items.
  • Accountability & Records Management:
  • Ensure timely and accurate entries into Army logistic systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
  • Assist in inventory reconciliation, discrepancy research, and property adjustments.
  • Maintain accountability of all equipment and material throughout the turn-in process.
  • Support audits, Property Accountability Reviews (PARs), and inspections by the COR or Army officials.
  • Warehousing & Material Handling:
  • Safely store, stage, and organize equipment in designated warehouse or yard areas.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (MHE) as required.
  • Follow Army and OSHA standards for HAZMAT handling, load securement, and workplace safety.
  • Coordination & Customer Service:
  • Provide assistance to unit supply personnel during the turn-in process.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, Quality Assurance staff, and transportation personnel to ensure timely processing of equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with Army representatives regarding documentation, discrepancies, and required corrective actions.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform routine standing, walking, bending, and reaching tasks in warehouse and field environments.
  • Must also meet all physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties, including working in extreme heat or cold, high, or low humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, heights, and other inclement weather conditions.
  • This position involves working both indoors and outdoors, periodic overtime, and exposure to heat, dust, cold, and adverse weather conditions.
Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to operate MHE safely and maintain proper storage practices.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills in a high-volume environment.
  • Must have a REAL ID.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to obtain Tier1/ NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
  • Employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.
