• Analyze logistical functions for potential improvement and recommend actions to correct deficiencies; advise on personnel, funds, and facilities for the division's operation.
• Provide functional analysis of automated support requirements and ensure systems support required logistics functions; recommend corrective actions for material weaknesses.
• Evaluate the impact of new supply and services programs on funding requirements and develop justification for budget submissions.
• Provide financial advice and render decisions on major problems; review operating procedures with respect to performance objectives of management; supervise staff as needed.
• Serve as a focal point for systemic logistical issues within the division and with customers; develop corrective actions and review logistics reports to improve effectiveness.

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0888P01 and is part of the IL USPFO, National Guard.

Key Responsibilities

As a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (TITLE 32), GS-2003-11, you will perform comprehensive analysis of logistical procedures, services, directives, and the operation of the division. Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Review, analyze, and interpret logistical directives and procedural instructions, to include internal controls from higher authority, and recommend local policy and procedures for the Division.

Investigate and analyze a variety of supply problems, questions, or conditions related to fielded automated logistic systems. Review results of property book validations, and external evaluations to determine systemic problems. Analyze logistical functions for potential improvement and recommend action to correct deficiencies. Advise on available sources of personnel, funds, and facilities for the operation of the Supply and Services Division.

Provide functional analysis of automated support requirements. Participate in ensuring automated logistical systems adequately support logistical functional requirements to manage the supply support activity. Provide recommendations on material weaknesses corrections. Evaluate the effect of new supply and services programs on funding requirements and develops or participates in the development of justification for budget submission/modification.

Provide financial advice and render decisions on major problems. Review operating procedures and policies with respect to the desired performance objectives of management. Perform supervisory and managerial responsibilities and assigns work to functional staff members in accordance with established organization mission and functions, workload fluctuations and personnel availability.

Serve as a focal point of contact for systemic logistical issues within the Supply and Services Division and between the Supply and Services Division and customers. Develop and recommend corrective action to systemic problems. Review logistical reports and recommends action to ensure overall effectiveness. Review and analyze unliquidated obligations and funding reservations.
