Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks a Supply Supervisor to oversee Army equipment receipt, inspection, accountability, storage, and turn-in at a U.S. Army site, ensuring compliance with ARs, DA PAM 710-2-1, ISO 9001:2015, and contract standards.

You will lead and train supply personnel, coordinate with PBO, COR, and QA, generate routine reports, and maintain government property records while supporting audits and customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in supply chain, logistics or business; Army logistics experience considered equivalent.
  • 5+ years in supply/logistics with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with Army turn-in, property accountability, or SSA operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with Army regulations and logistics systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with audits and inventories.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily supply activities for equipment receipt, inspection, accountability, and turn-in.
  • Ensure compliance with AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1, AR 750-1 and contract standards.
  • Oversee inventories, accountability adjustments, and reconciliation of property records.
  • Coordinate with transportation staff for movement and disposition of equipment.
  • Direct, train, and evaluate supply personnel.
  • Assign work, monitor performance, and provide feedback for accuracy.
  • Enforce safety standards and policy compliance.
  • Verify turn-in documentation (DA Form 1348-1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts).
  • Enter data accurately into GCSS-Army, DPAS, and LMP.
  • Maintain ISO 9001:2015 compliant records and support audits.
  • Assist in audits and PARs as required.
  • Prepare regular supply activity reports for Site Manager and COR.

Job description

The Supply Supervisor oversees supply operations at a U.S. Army equipment turn-in site, ensuring compliance with Army supply regulations, technical manuals, and contract requirements. This position is responsible for supervising personnel performing receipt, inspection, accountability, storage, and turn-in of Army equipment and property. The Supply Supervisor ensures accurate documentation, accountability of government property, and timely coordination with the Property Book Officer (PBO), Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), and Quality Assurance personnel to support mission readiness and contract performance.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily supply activities related to equipment receipt, inspection, accountability, and turn-in.
  • Ensure compliance with Army regulations (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1, AR 750-1) and contract performance standards.
  • Oversee inventories, accountability adjustments, and reconciliation of property records.
  • Coordinate with transportation staff for movement and disposition of equipment.
  • Direct, train, and evaluate supply technicians, clerks, and material handlers.
  • Assign work, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Enforce safety standards, discipline, and compliance with company and Army policies.
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of turn-in documentation (e.g., DA Form 1348-1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts).
  • Ensure accurate data entry into Army logistics systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
  • Maintain records in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 QMS and government auditing requirements.
  • Enforce proper handling, storage, and safeguarding of Army equipment.
  • Support Property Accountability Reviews (PARs) and audits by Army officials, DCMA, or Quality Assurance representatives.
  • Investigate and report Loss, Damage, or Destruction (LDD) incidents in accordance with Army and contract requirements.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly supply activity reports to the Site Manager and COR.
  • Coordinate with PBOs, Supply Support Activities (SSA), and higher headquarters on equipment disposition instructions.
  • Assist in developing and updating SOPs for supply and turn-in operations.
  • Identify inefficiencies in supply processes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure supply personnel are trained on Army turn-in procedures, accountability, and system usage.
  • Support contract quality assurance initiatives by integrating supply best practices.
Qualifications
  • Education:Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business (Bachelor’s preferred). Equivalent Army logistics experience accepted.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of supply/logistics experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Prior U.S. Army or contractor experience in equipment turn-in, property accountability, or SSA operations strongly preferred.
  • U.S. Army supply and property accountability regulations (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1).
  • Familiarity with Army logistics systems (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP).
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and contract compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with Army officials and contractor leadership.
  • Ability to manage audits, inventories, and inspections in a high-tempo environment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Must have a real ID.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to obtain Tier1/ NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
  • Basic proficiency in the English language (reading and writing).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.
  • Must have a REAL ID.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to obtain Tier1/ NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
Physical Demands & Working Environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform routine standing, walking, bending, and reaching tasks in warehouse and field environments. Must also meet all physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties, including working in extreme heat or cold, high, or low humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, heights, and other inclement weather conditions. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors, periodic overtime, and exposure to heat, dust, cold, and adverse weather conditions.
