Job description

Overview

The Supply Specialist I will perform tasks related to receiving, distribution, and inventory management within the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities
  • Replenishment of assigned PAR inventory locations
  • Replenishment of assigned bedside carts, tank rooms & equipment rooms
  • Contact Customer Service to request priority services (products, equipment, code carts, etc.)
  • Contact Customer Service to report issues
  • Attend meetings with customers to assess their needs
  • Maintain assigned PAR areas and assigned bedside carts in a clean and organized manner
  • Assist Level II Supply Specialist with work, as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One year in hospital materials distribution, inventory management, or logistics
  • Must be a “critical thinker” with an ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment
  • Strong product knowledge a must
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills are required for success in this function
  • Demonstrated good ability to prioritize work, strong organizational skills, and initiative to improve processes
  • Consistently display a friendly, positive, and professional demeanor
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Repetitive motion
  • Reaching, pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Walking, standing for extended periods of time
