Job summary

Connex Education is recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Hilton, Etwall, Repton, Hatton, Findern and the wider DE65 area from September 2026. You will support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, working alongside class teachers to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Depending on the placement, you may provide whole-class support, work with small groups or support individual pupils on a one-to-one basis.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
• Confidence supporting pupils individually and in small groups.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, patient approach.
• Reliable and flexible attitude with adaptability to different school environments.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, working alongside class teachers to create a positive and engaging classroom environment. Depending on the placement, you may provide whole-class support, work with small groups or support individual pupils on a one-to-one basis.

Key Responsibilities

We’re looking for candidates who have:
