Job summary

GDM Seeds is seeking a Supply Planner to bridge sales and production, translating forecasts into executable supply plans. You will align operations with business goals, support inventory risk, logistics, and service performance while working four days onsite and one remote day weekly at the Westfield facility.

Required are a Bachelor’s in a related field and 3 years in logistics; strong data analysis, SAP experience, and teamwork are expected. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain processes preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze customer sales and supply data to refine supply plans and prepare forecasts.
• Integrate production, operations, logistics, and commercial inputs to project viable supply.
• Manage day-to-day supply planning within inventory guidelines and SAP to support on-time fulfillment.
• Monitor ATP performance, Finished Goods, WIP alignment, and order-to-supply matching.
• Collaborate with sales support and supply chain to track inventory metrics and act on shortages or surpluses.
• Participate in regular meetings and provide supply updates tied to the crop calendar.
• Continuously improve current and long-term operations strategies.
• Analyze data, draw conclusions, and recommend next steps.
• Research data discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis.
• Meet corporate deadlines and participate in strategic process reviews.

Job Summary

The Supply Planner role works as a partner to the GDM branded businesses by facilitating communication and data translation between the sales organization and production teams. This role translates forecasted demand and established product lifecycle strategies into executable supply plans. The position plays a critical role in aligning supply chain operations with commercial business objectives, ensuring customer demand positions are met while supporting inventory risk, logistics, and service performance.

This position requires four days per week onsite at our Westfield, Indiana facility and one remote day per week. Applicants must currently live within a reasonable commuting distance of Westfield, Indiana and be able to reliably commute to the facility. Candidates residing outside the local commuting area should not apply. No relocation assistance will be provided.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze customer sales and supply data to refine supply plans. Prepare and/or maintain reports associated with forecasting, allocations, inventory status, and sales performance.
• Integrate key supply assumptions from production, operations, logistics, and commercial teams to provide timely and accurate projections of viable supply.
• Independently manage day‑to‑day supply planning activities within established inventory and allocation guidelines by responding to order changes, adjusting supply assignments, and creating or updating production orders in SAP to support customer demand and on‑time order fulfillment.
• Monitor and report Available-to-Promise (ATP) performance, including finished goods availability, work‑in‑progress alignment, inventory status, and order‑to‑supply alignment to support customer fulfillment objectives.
• Collaborate with sales support staff and supply chain operations to track inventory metrics, identify potential shortages or surpluses, and assist adjacent teams to initiate corrective actions.
• Participate in regular business meetings and provide updates for supply based on the commercial crop cycle calendar.
• Conduct daily activities with a spirit of continuous improvement for both current and long‑term operations strategies.
• Able to analyze data, draw reasonable conclusions, and recommend next steps.
• Research discrepancies between multiple data sources and identify root cause analysis.
• Responsible for meeting corporate deadlines for assigned duties.
• Participate in strategic planning and annual review of processes with business partners.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
