Job description

Career Opportunities: Supply Planner (75890)

Requisition ID75890-Posted10/20/2026

Eaton’s ES AMER MFGSCdivision is currently seeking a Supply Planner. This is a Full Time role, requiring roughly 50% travel. The schedule for this role is flexible and will consist of time spent at an Eaton location, supplier sites, and remotely from home.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000- $165000a year.

Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Overview:

The Supply Planner is the business planning authority for the mid- and long-range supply horizon, owning the rolling 3-to-24-month constrained supply plan through Eaton's Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process. The role translates the consensus demand plan into a feasible supply response by integrating capacity, materials, labor, tooling, supplier, inventory, logistics and network constraints and by bringing forward scenarios and recommended trade-offs for leadership decisions.
Reporting to the SIOP Leader, this global individual-contributor role leads the Supply Review for the assigned business, region, product line or value stream and connects strategic and tactical planning to execution. The Supply Planner establishes the supply direction and planning assumptions that Network Planners, Master Schedulers, Buyers and other execution teams convert into executable schedules. The role does not own day-to-day scheduling, purchase-order expediting or transactional material execution. The business will tailor scope dimensions, interfaces and local requirements while preserving the core 3-to-24-month accountability and SIOP reporting relationship.

Essential Functions:
  • Own the rolling 3-to-24-month constrained supply plan and supply-side inputs to the monthly SIOP cycle, reconciling consensus demand with available and planned capacity.
  • Lead the Supply Review for the assigned scope, consolidating constraints and assumptions across manufacturing, procurement, logistics and the network; resolve issues at the planner level and elevate unresolved gaps with options and recommendations.
  • Perform rough-cut capacity planning across labor, equipment, lines, tooling, suppliers and critical materials; distinguish structural constraints from short-term execution noise.
  • Develop base, upside, downside and what-if scenarios that quantify service, revenue, inventory, cost, cash and capacity trade-offs and enable timely leadership decisions.
  • Identify supply, capacity and lead-time risks early enough to enable mitigation, including capital, staffing, sourcing, supplier qualification, make-versus-buy, shift, pre-build and inventory actions.
  • Translate the strategic supply plan into inventory, safety-stock and pre-build strategies and provide a clear, resourced and risk-flagged handoff as the horizon moves into network and execution planning.
  • Partner with Demand Planning, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Product Management and Commercial teams to align the supply plan with the Annual Operating Plan, rolling financial forecasts and portfolio priorities.
  • Evaluate supply implications of new product introductions, phase-outs, promotions, sourcing changes, footprint decisions and major commercial opportunities.
  • Own or validate planning assumptions and scenario inputs, including demonstrated capacity, yields, lead times, planning bills, sourcing rules, constraint parameters and inventory policies, while partnering with data owners for system maintenance.
  • Create decision-quality analytics and clearly communicate risks, options, assumptions, financial implications and required decisions to senior business leaders.
  • Drive adoption of Eaton standard work, common definitions, digital planning tools and planning governance; improve data quality, process maturity and planning capability across the assigned scope.
  • Track action closure and measure supply-plan effectiveness by horizon, ensuring decisions and mitigations are carried into execution
Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of progressive supply chain planning experience in a manufacturing or complex multi-site environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in SIOP, S&OE, IBP, capacity planning, material planning, or constrained supply planning and cross-functional decision support.
  • 2+ years of experience translating complex data and planning scenarios into recommendations for business leaders.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of one of the facilities listed will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or Business
  • 7+ years of relevant planning experience, including ownership of a multi-site, regional, product-line or value-stream supply plan.
  • Experience operating across multiple countries, businesses, product lines, or manufacturing networks.
  • Experience in managing risk and opportunities based on financial forecast
Skills:
  • ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification, or formal S&OP / IBP training.
  • Advanced understanding of SIOP / IBP, rough-cut capacity planning, constrained supply planning, inventory strategy and planning-horizon design.
  • Advanced Excel and data-modeling capability; experience with Power BI or comparable visualization tools.
  • Experience with ERP and advanced planning systems such as SAP, Kinaxis RapidResponse
  • Ability to connect operational scenarios to service, revenue, margin, working capital and capital implications.
  • Working knowledge of master data, planning parameters, product lifecycle and supply-network design.
  • Critical Thinking & Data Storytelling
  • Managing Through Influence
  • CI Mindset / Six Sigma Qualifications
  • Strategic / Enterprise Mindset
