Job summary

Lennox, a global HVAC and refrigeration company, is seeking a Parts Supply Planner to balance supply with demand for parts and optimize inventory within financial plan constraints.

The role involves coordinating with manufacturers and suppliers, validating inventory targets, and improving supply planning processes to sustain service levels. Strong SAP/IBP/MRP experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Logistics or Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years experience in inventory management or a similar education/experience combination.
• 1+ year of experience in Supply Planning and using SAP/IBP/MRP.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
• Knowledge of impact of sales initiatives on volume variability.
• Experience managing change.
• Ability to work effectively with Demand Planning, Finance, Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Distribution, Transportation and 3PL.
• Ability to proactively identify and root cause supply planning anomalies and identify corrective action.

Responsibilities

What Drives Success

The role of the Parts Supply Planner is to balance supply with demand for manufactured and/or purchased service parts and to support required customer service levels; while optimizing production mix and externally procured inventory within the working capital constraints of the financial plan. In addition, this position assists in identifying supply planning system and process improvements.

The Parts Supply Planner is expected to validate and meet the monthly inventory days of supply by product code and facilitate the reduction of excess inventory. The planner works closely with the manufacturers/ Suppliers to manage their inventory and coordinate inventory movement with transportation, physical distribution and customer service. The Parts Supply Planner reviews and monitors key metrics of network and facing fill rates, days of supply, and inventory versus plan. The Parts Supply Planner executes the pre-build schedules that smooth manufacturing build plans (both internal factory and external supplier) within working capital guidelines.

Education / Experience

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Logistics or Industrial Engineering,
• P lus 2+ years experience in inventory management, or a similar combination of education and experience.
• 1+ year of experience in Supply Planning and the use of Supply Planning Systems (SAP/IBP/MRP).
• Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
• Knowledge of impact of sales initiatives on the variability of volume.
• Experience managing change.
• Ability to work effectively with Demand Planning, Finance, Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Distribution, Transportation and 3PL.
• Ability to proactively identify and root cause supply planning anomalies and identify corrective action.

Additional Skills / Requirements

• Understanding of supply chain management principles.
• Understanding of PSI and it’s impact on the business.
• Current with best practices in supply planning, statistics and tools.
• Basic understanding of a multi echelon supply network.
• Firm understanding of SAP purchasing master data including PIR, Source List & MRP parameters and their impact on the supply plan.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of IBP SNP.
