Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a Supply Planner to oversee inventory strategy and replenishment for select items and suppliers. This hybrid role based out of the Norcross office focuses on achieving fill rate targets and optimal DIOH, leveraging Oracle EVO for planning and analytics.

You will collaborate with Demand Planners, Sourcing, and Category Management to align inventory with marketing initiatives and service levels, while resolvingPO/invoice discrepancies and monitoring supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory replenishment reviews in Oracle EVO and Buyer Workbench to monitor exceptions.
• Manage replenishment policy and parameters in EVO (lead time, min order quantities, segmentation).
• Monitor forecast and inventory levels to minimize shortages and surpluses.
• Use EVO reporting and analytics to drive proactive replenishment decisions.
• Coordinate with Demand Planners on inventory placement for marketing initiatives.
• Resolve escalated issues from Inventory Coordinators, including POs and invoices discrepancies.
• Monitor supplier performance and participate in supplier reviews to optimize performance.
• Participate in projects (e.g., shuttle reduction, ABC Classification, NetOps, Continuous Improvement).
• Collaborate with Sourcing to drive supplier reductions and service improvements.
• Work with Customer Dedicated Inventory and Sales Reps on stocking strategies.
• Communicate updates clearly to the organization and proactively address questions.

HYBRID ROLE BASED OUT OF OUR NORCROSS OFFICE

Job Purpose

Our Supply Planner will be responsible for managing the planning and execution of our inventory strategy for a specific set of items and suppliers. This position will drive inventory performance to support business targets for Fill Rate and Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH). They will manage the replenishment strategies and planning parameters within Oracle System (EVO) to optimize inventory performance. This position will also collaborate and communicate effectively with various team members, internal departments, external stakeholders and suppliers to solve complex business problems.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory replenishment review to monitor exceptions and recommended purchase requisitions in Oracle System EVO and the Buyer Workbench.
• Manage replenishment policy and parameter setting within Oracle System EVO including lead time, minimum order quantities, product segmentation, etc.
• Monitor forecast and projected inventory levels to minimize inventory shortage and surplus.
• Leverage Oracle System EVO reporting and analytics to make proactive strategic replenishment decisions.
• Coordinate with Demand Planners on the inventory placement for marketing initiatives in collaboration with RSL, IM team, and Category Management.
• Resolve complex issues escalated by Inventory Coordinators. (e.g., following up on purchase orders, expediting purchase orders, resolving purchase order and invoice discrepancies as needed)
• Consistently monitor supplier performance; participates in reviews with suppliers driving towards resolution of issues optimizing supplier performance.
• Participate in projects as requested. (e.g., shuttle reduction, ABC Classification, NetOps Consolidation and Continuous Improvement initiatives)
• Work with Sourcing team to drive supplier minimum reductions and service improvements through forecast collaboration.
• Work collaboratively to effectively manage Customer Dedicated Inventory and Sales Rep to advise stocking strategies.
• Accurately and concisely communicate updates to the organization and keeps the organization abreast on requests, questions, and concerns; proactively take initiative on questions or issues that arise.

Work Experience

• 1-3 years of related job experience.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Replenishment Planning preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
