Job summary

Astemo, Ltd. is seeking a skilled supplier/materials planner to own scheduling agreements, translate customer demand into supplier requirements, and manage MRP-driven releases.

The role requires hands-on ERP/MRP experience and collaboration with engineering and quality to ensure timely approvals. Work involves monitoring inbound deliveries, adjusting purchase orders, and maintaining supplier performance metrics in a manufacturing environment at the Monroe, GA site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, logistics, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in supplier or materials planning within automotive or regulated manufacturing.
• Experience managing customer demand and translating into supplier requirements.
• Hands-on MRP experience within an ERP system, including net requirement review and release generation.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain scheduling agreements for assigned suppliers and issue weekly/daily releases.
• Review MRP output daily to convert net requirements into supplier releases.
• Monitor upstream customer demand and cascade updated requirements within 24 hours.
• Use SAP S/4HANA to monitor inbound delivery against the production schedule and adjust POs as needed.
• Initiate and close out PCNL letters with suppliers with engineering and quality sign-off.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Scheduling Agreements: Own and maintain scheduling agreements for an assigned supplier portfolio, issuing weekly and daily releases that reflect current MRP-driven requirements.
• MRP-Driven Replenishment: Review MRP output daily to convert net requirements into supplier releases, targeting zero missed release cycles.
• Customer Demand Translation: Monitor upstream customer demand and order changes and cascade updated requirements to suppliers within 24 hours of a material demand shift.
• Inbound Delivery Monitoring: Use SAP S/4HANA to monitor inbound delivery against the planned production schedule, pulling forward, delaying, or cancelling purchase orders as needed to hit inventory KPIs.
• PCNL Administration: Initiate, track, and close out Production/Purchase Change Notice-Letters with suppliers, ensuring engineering and quality sign-off is documented before implementation.
• Supplier Risk Management: Maintain a supplier risk register, run weekly capacity and shortage checks with key suppliers, and elevate at-risk parts a minimum of 5 business days before impact.
• Freight and Logistics: Manage freight partners and resolve inbound logistics issues, logging and reporting expedited freight costs monthly.
• Supplier Performance: Track and report supplier on-time delivery and quality performance monthly, driving corrective action for suppliers below target.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Logistics, or equivalent experience; 3 to 5 years in supplier or materials planning within automotive or comparably regulated manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience managing customer demand and orders and translating them into supplier-facing requirements.
• Hands-on MRP experience within an ERP system, including net requirement review and release generation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
