Job summary

SBM Life Science Corp in Cary, NC is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Planner with 5+ years of experience to translate demand forecasts into weekly production plans, manage raw materials, and coordinate with contract manufacturers to keep finished goods available on time.

You will drive inventory accuracy, monitor KPIs, and partner across supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics to optimize working capital and implement continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or materials management within manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with production scheduling, purchasing, inventory management, and MRP.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, including manufacturing and inventory transactions.
• Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and scenario modeling.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach, attention to detail, and ownership of priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and translate demand forecasts into weekly production schedules balancing inventory targets and capacity.
• Coordinate production schedules with contract manufacturers and monitor commitments.
• Plan raw material and component requirements and issue purchase orders.
• Manage ERP production transactions including work orders and material consumption.
• Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory and reconcile discrepancies.

What You'll Do

As our Supply Planner, you'll be responsible for coordinating manufacturing activities from production planning through finished goods availability. Your work will help ensure we have the right products, in the right quantities, at the right time.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Plan & Schedule Production: Translate master production plans into weekly manufacturing schedules, balancing demand forecasts, inventory targets, material availability, and production capacity.
• Partner with Contract Manufacturers: Coordinate production schedules, secure manufacturing capacity, monitor commitments, and adjust plans as business needs change.
• Keep Materials Moving: Plan raw material and component requirements, issue purchase orders, monitor supplier deliveries, and proactively resolve shortages to keep production on track.
• Support Manufacturing Execution: Manage ERP production transactions, including work orders, completed production, and raw material and component consumption.
• Maintain Inventory Accuracy: Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate reconciliations across assigned production locations.
• Optimize Supply & Inventory: Analyze production timing, capacity, inventory levels, and working capital requirements to identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Monitor key planning and operational performance measures, identify challenges, and recommend improvements to strengthen supply chain performance.
