Position: Supply Management Specialist

Type: Full-time

Location: Fort Bragg, NC

Position Summary: The Supply Management Specialist serves as the principal logistics, property accountability, and inventory management professional for the Army Special Operations Armament Facility’s main vault, operating under the general supervision of the Supervisory Equipment Specialist. This position is responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering all armament property, sensitive items, and supply operations supporting the complete non-standard armament portfolio for U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) force.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer all armament property accountability, sensitive item controls, and supply management operations for the Army Special Operations Armament Facility main vault.
  • Coordinate and execute logistics management, inventory control, and supply planning activities supporting USSOCOM Special Operations Forces worldwide and USAJFKSWCS training requirements.
  • Maintain accountability for non-standard foreign weapons, U.S. legacy weapons, U.S. standard armament systems, weapon accessories, visual augmentation devices, and other controlled and sensitive equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Army property accountability regulations, command supply discipline requirements, logistics policies, and armament management procedures.
  • Conduct inventories, reconciliations, and asset verification activities to maintain accurate property records and achieve 100% accountability of assigned equipment.
  • Develop, maintain, and update hand receipts, inventory records, transfer documentation, and supporting accountability reports.
  • Coordinate the receipt, issue, storage, transfer, turn-in, and disposition of armament systems and associated equipment.
  • Monitor and manage inventory management systems to track asset status, locations, maintenance requirements, and operational readiness.
  • Perform supply management analysis, workload planning, and work sequence coordination to ensure efficient armament facility operations.
  • Support armament maintenance activities by coordinating equipment availability, maintenance schedules, and accountability documentation.
  • Administer and enforce physical security procedures for weapons, sensitive items, and controlled equipment in accordance with applicable regulations and local policies.
  • Manage all armament facility security systems, including physical security infrastructure, electronic security systems, access control systems, and inventory management platforms.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with property accountability, inventory management, and physical security requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, accountability issues, and documentation errors while implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and documentation related to inventory status, asset accountability, logistics operations, and supply program effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with logistics, maintenance, security, and operational personnel to ensure uninterrupted support of Special Operations training and mission requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and documentation supporting armament inventory management, supply operations, maintenance activities, and security compliance.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on armament logistics, inventory management, property accountability, and sensitive item management programs.
  • Ensure all armament storage, handling, transportation, and accountability procedures are conducted in compliance with applicable Army regulations, physical security standards, and organizational policies.
  • Support operational readiness by maintaining accurate inventories, safeguarding sensitive assets, and ensuring timely availability of weapons and equipment for training and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizen
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations, government facilities, and government information systems.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in military supply, logistics, property accountability, warehouse operations, or related logistics management functions.
  • Extensive knowledge of Army supply management, logistics operations, and property accountability procedures.
  • Experience managing sensitive items, weapons, armament systems, and controlled equipment inventories.
  • Knowledge of non-standard foreign weapons, legacy armament systems, U.S. standard weapons, and associated equipment.
  • Experience with inventory management programs, supply systems, and logistics management processes.
  • Understanding of command supply discipline procedures, armament maintenance requirements, and physical security regulations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and inventory control skills.
  • Experience managing electronic inventory systems, security systems, and property accountability databases.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and automated logistics management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict accountability and security standards in a highly controlled armament environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
