Job summary

Stanford Health Care in San Carlos is seeking a Supply Distribution Supervisor I to oversee operations of Supply Distribution for SUMC, participating in planning and development of new materials management methods.

A Brief Overview

The Supply Distribution Supervisor I has overall responsibility for the operations of Supply Distribution for SUMC. Participates in the planning and development and is responsible for the implementation and management of new products, methods, procedures, systems, etc. that relate to material management. Monitors and recommends changes to policies and procedures used in the management of inventory.

What You Will Do

• Continuously assess and improve the department’s performance based on customer needs; and participate in improving performance and services that benefit staff, patients, and other customers.
• Effectively maintain appropriate quality improvement and control programs in response to staff and patient feedback, internal standards of care, and external requirements.
• Monitor and improve methods and procedures for ordering, receiving, issuing, quality control, charge collection, and reconciliation of inventory.
• Monitor and recommend changes to policies and procedures for the operations and activities of the Supply Distribution systems, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements of Federal, State, and any other regulatory agency including JCAHO.
• Participate in the planning and development of new products, methods, procedures, systems, etc., and be responsible for the implementation and management of the same within the scope of material management.
• Provide for the scheduling and documentation of in‑service, education, and training programs for assigned staff. Research and report on budget variances, maintain operation statistics, and prepare reports as needed. Share responsibility for department staffing needs and budget with the manager.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a work‑related discipline/field from an accredited college or university
• Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying

Experience Qualifications

• Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

Base Pay Scale

Generally starting at $43.77 - $56.90 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
