Position Summary

Under the direction of the Manager of Parking, Fleet & Transportation, this position is responsible for the safe and timely transport of hospital work and supplies to and from all Moffitt Center Campuses. This role may also support daily operations within the Parking, Fleet, and Transportation office.

Responsibilities

1. Perform routine preventative maintenance on all vehicles, including fluid level and tire pressure checks.
2. Follow designated routes to ensure efficient and timely drop-offs and pick-ups across all Moffitt campuses.
3. Adhere to traffic laws to maintain safety for employees, patients, and visitors.
4. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of vehicles.
5. Prepare and maintain spreadsheets for specimen and item deliveries as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License required at hire.
• At least three (3) years of healthcare, receiving, or customer service experience required.
• Ability to operate various vehicles, including electric and gas-driven trams (golf carts) and full-sized vans.
• Ability to inspect vehicle components and assess safety for operation.
• Clean driving record evidence.
• Intermediate computer skills, including MS Excel, Outlook, internet mapping, and geographical software, as well as proficiency with cell phones for communication and scheduling.
