Job summary

The Restaurant Store, part of Clark Associates, seeks a Supply Chain Wholesale Intern in Bethlehem, PA to gain a day-to-day operations perspective in a retail branch environment. You will contribute to high customer service levels and support sales, purchasing, and inventory goals.

You will participate in brand-building, needs assessment, loyalty creation, and positive customer interactions while learning the Brick and Click model and website tools.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in wholesale sales and customer service.
• Ability to analyze inventory information and determine product availability.
• Willingness to learn about private label brands and competitive advantages.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business-to-business sales and customer service to build relationships with customers.
• Follow the TRS process: build brand awareness, assess needs, exceed expectations, build loyalty.
• Perform basic cashier functions and assist with loading products into vehicles.
• Maintain store appearance, restock shelves, and assist with merchandising.
• Analyze basic inventory data to determine product availability and reorder status.
• Promote private label brands to maximize gross profit.
• Educate customers on website features and the Brick and Click model.

The Supply Chain Wholesale Intern with The Restaurant Store will gain a day-to-day operations perspective in a retail branch environment and become a contributor to a high level of customer service and satisfaction. The Supply Chain Wholesale Intern will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective customer service strategies that align with the goals of our sales, purchasing, and inventory teams.

• Conduct business-to-business sales and customer service with a focus on building and developing relationship with our customer base
• Execute on our proven TRS process: 1) build brand awareness, 2) assess customer’s needs, 3) exceed expectations, and 4) build loyalty
• Perform basic cashier functions and loading products into customer vehicles
• Perform general store maintenance through cleaning and merchandising functions, while also restocking shelves and putting away incoming stock
• Analyze basic inventory information to determine product availability and re-order status
• Promote our private label brands to maximize TRS gross profit
• Educate prospective customers on our competitive advantages (best people, best technology, and best price)
• Possess and maintain a thorough understanding of our website and educate customers on how to best-utilize our “Brick and Click” business model
