Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities/duties required by surgical services to address the unique needs of patients.
• Maintains logbooks in sterile storage areas.
• Assists with ordering, unboxing, and stocking specialty, CSR, and warehouse supplies for surgery.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to help the unit meet its goals and objectives.
• Provides cooperative service to patients, staff and visitors as part of quality care.
• Pulls surgery cases and ensures accuracy of cases pulled.
• Manages supplies/inventory/sterile instrument stock in all areas where Surgery supplies are stored.

Job description

The Supply Chain Technician - OR is primarily responsible for the daily activities relating to opening and stocking incoming supplies for surgical services. This responsibility would include, but is not limited to, stocking the core areas as well as the OR overflow area and/or other designated supply areas. This would also include supply rotation and checking all OR supplies for expiration dates. This team member will need to be organized and thorough with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. This team member supports the Supply Chain Inventory Specialist (SCIS) deployed to surgical services and also works collaboratively with the surgical services team.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities/duties required by surgical services, as defined in the scope of service, to ensure that the unique nature of the patients are addressed.
• Maintains logbooks in sterile storage areas.
• Performs a variety of assisting and servicing activities, ordering, unboxing, and stocking specialty supplies for surgery as well as CSR and Warehouse supplies.
• Works effectively as part of the healthcare team to facilitate the unit’s ability to meet its goals and objectives.
• Provides and gives cooperative and courteous service to patients, staff, visitors, and others as part of the organization’s commitment to quality services.
• Pulls surgery cases and ensures accuracy of cases pulled.
• Maintains supplies/inventory/ sterile instrument stock for department in all areas where supplies are stored for Surgery.
