Job summary

Trinity Health in Silver Spring is seeking a part-time Supply Chain Tech, Advanced to support equipment and supply distribution for acute and ambulatory care units.

The role involves maintaining par levels, labeling, and inventory, plus occasional lifting and travel. Requires 2+ years in healthcare supply chain, English proficiency, and familiarity with ERP and Excel. Weekend shifts with some weekdays are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Supply Chain experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Ability to utilize ERP inventory applications, basic Excel spreadsheets, and email notification reviews to accurately process and receive orders.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with fellow Supply Chain colleagues and clinical contacts.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and distributes medical equipment and gas per unit request and established pars.
• Maintains all assigned unit par location bins in optimal condition with ongoing par updates and label reprints.
• Maintain and clean designated hospital equipment and exchange O2 tanks per unit pars; stage used tanks for replacement.
• Demonstrates accountability with time management to complete assignments during shift.
• Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds; frequent travel and computer use; standing/walking as needed.
• Serves as frontline Supply Chain support for ordering, data entry & payment activities.
• Assists Supply Chain Leader with special assignments and trains colleagues.

Shift: Every other weekend: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, Some weekdays: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Location: Silver Spring

Position Purpose

• Performs daily Supply Chain Management duties related to the acquisition and distribution of goods to support acute and/or ambulatory care departments as necessary or proactively supports/maintains one or more computer-based support systems to ensure continuous operational availability to end users.

As a “Supply Chain Tech, Advanced” you will:

• Maintains and distributes medical equipment and gas per unit request and established pars.
• Maintains all assigned unit par location bins in optimal condition with ongoing par updates and label reprints as assigned or recommended by Kanban Dashboard metric review.
• As assigned, maintain and clean designated hospital equipment (e.g. IV pumps/channels/SCD & breast pumps, cooling/warmers) in good working order; assuring broken units are referred to BioMed for repair. As assigned, exchange O2 tanks per designated unit pars; staged used tanks for replacement.
• Demonstrates accountability through utilization of good time management ensuring completion of all assignments prior to the end of shift. Unapproved downtime must be avoided. Seek supervisor assistance as required. Productivity expectation includes positive trend on Kanban Bin fill rates and utilization, individual scan transactions matching assigned bin Pars and elimination of unnecessary Express Issues.
• Includes occasional lifting, up to 30 pounds unassisted, frequent travel & use of computer; Includes continuous sitting & may require rare long periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling & pushing.
• Serves as a frontline Supply Chain support representative for ordering, data entry & payment activities.
• Assists Supply Chain Leader with special assignments.
• Trains colleagues & readily assume responsibility for extra assignments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years Supply Chain experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Ability to focus on assignments and seek assistance as required to meet all defined productivity and quality expectations.
• Ability to utilize ERP inventory applications, basic Excel spreadsheets, and email notification reviews to accurately process and receive orders.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with fellow Supply Chain colleagues and clinical contacts.

Pay Range: $17.65 - $25.04

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
