Job summary

Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT is seeking an entry-level Supply Chain Technician to support receiving, storage, picking, and replenishment for patient care areas.

• Coursework/Training: combination of education and directly applicable related work experience.
• Relevant experience in a warehouse or storeroom environment recommended, preferably with an electronic inventory system.

Responsibilities

• Receive, distribute, pick, put-away and stock supplies for the local ministry/site.
• Deliver products and replenish par levels or use stock to meet patient care needs.
• Input patient charges as directed and support daily supply chain operations.
• Collaborate with customers within the ministry to ensure a smooth supply chain experience.

Job description

One Supply Chain Management (OSCM) is the name adopted to reflect the Providence employees who work throughout Providence Health and Services in supply chain services and systems in support of our ministries and operations in all regions from Alaska to California. The Supply Chain Technician is an entry-level position based in the local ministry this position supports. This position is responsible for typical supply chain operations and logistics functions to include receiving, distribution, picking, put-away, product delivery and par/point of use replenishment and stocking as well as input of patient charges as directed.

This position also is responsible for working with customers within their specific ministry ensuring an effective and streamlined supply chain experience at the local ministry/site for all caregivers they serve.

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Supply Chain Operations supports daily Supply Chain operations and logistics functions at acute care ministries, medical group clinics, long term care facilities and warehouse operations for their respective ministry.

Work Days: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6AM-2:30PM

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Combination of education and directly applicable related work experience.
• Relevant experience in a warehouse or storeroom environment recommended, preferably one in which an electronic inventory management system was used.

Preferred qualifications:

• Medical materials management experience.
