Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an Inventory/Materials Clerk to receive, store, and distribute supplies and equipment. You will document, track, and communicate effectively to ensure accurate inventory and responsive service across shifts.

Preferred candidates have experience with hospital supply chains, can read and follow instructions, and perform basic math. The role requires independence and strong problem-solving abilities, with evening hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of experience in material/inventory, distribution, purchasing or related field.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to operate computerized inventory system.
• Ability to use a hand-held scanner to issue and track inventory.
• Ability to work independently, using judgment and problem solving to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Receives and distributes/stores all supplies and equipment delivered to the hospital.
• Maintains documentation and communicates with stakeholders; focuses on customer service.

Responsibilities

Receives and distributes/stores all supplies and equipment delivered to the Hospital in an accurate and timely manner. This process will include documentation, communication, and a focus on all phases of customer service. Has a thorough knowledge of all processes on all shifts.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two to three years previous experience in material/supply inventory and/or distribution, purchasing, or closely related field.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to operate computerized inventory system.
• Ability to use hand-held scanner to issue and track inventory.
• Ability to work independently, using judgment and problem solving skills as necessary to resolve customer service issues, order discrepancies, and as otherwise necessary in the performance of duties.

PREFERRED:

• Medical supply or related experience

2:00PM-10:30PM
