Job description
Overview

Role Purpose:

You will transform raw data into actionable insights, mentor a small team, and set best-in-class standards for modeling, data engineering, and visualization. You will act as both a hands-on data expert and strategic thought partner, designing predictive models, building intuitive dashboards, and guiding executives with clear, business-oriented recommendations.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide training, guidance, and daily support to team members, addressing challenges related to workflow, process improvements, and operational issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for administrative inquiries, including attendance, system disruptions, and operational concerns.
Analytics & Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Utilize Power BI, SQL, and Python to analyze inventory trends, optimize stock levels, and generate actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain predictive models to enhance demand forecasting, reduce stockouts, and improve inventory turnover.
  • Design and maintain dashboards that surface KPIs, trends, and “so-what” insights for non-technical audiences.
Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization
  • Design and implement inventory control strategies, leveraging techniques such as ABC analysis, safety stock calculations, and economic order quantity (EOQ) modeling.
  • Work cross-functionally with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to improve inventory planning and allocation.
  • Identify risks related to inventory management (e.g., supply disruptions, demand fluctuations) and develop mitigation strategies.
Process Improvement & Continuous Optimization
  • Identify inefficiencies in inventory management and propose data-driven process improvements to enhance supply chain operations.
  • Leverage automation and advanced analytics to streamline replenishment processes and reduce carrying costs.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, analytics innovations, and emerging technologies to drive best practices in supply chain analytics.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
  • 6+ years of experience, with at least some experience leading or mentoring teams.
  • Strong analytical and data modeling skills, with experience in Power BI, SQL, and Python.
  • Working knowledge of GenAI (LLMs) for analytical productivity.
  • Experience with inventory management techniques and supply chain analytics.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (LN INFOR, WMS, TMS, Logility, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Executive-ready communication, hypothesis-driven problem-solving, and cross-cultural stakeholder management.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and continuously seek process improvements.
Culture & Values
  • Bias for Action: We favor shipping usable insights fast over endless analysis.
  • Show You Care: We operate with empathy, integrity, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Action vs. Activity: Results—not busyness—drive recognition and advancement.
Why Join Us?
  • Executive Visibility: Direct line to Executive Leaders on strategic projects.
  • Global Impact: Shape a supply chain that powers distribution across 100+ countries.
  • Stable + Growth: 50-year heritage with startup-speed expansion through acquisitions.
