Job summary

Garrett - Advancing Motion seeks a Supply Chain Statistical Analyst to design, develop, and report supply chain measures for timely decision making. You will drive operational excellence and deliver a robust 30-month rolling forecast.

Qualifications

  • Post Graduate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related areas required.
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in demand planning or customer service, sales and supply chain.
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry preferred (OEM, Tier-I).

Responsibilities

  • Manage weekly update of arbitrated demand using specific tool (e.g. o9 - Demand Planning).
  • Statistical Analyst & Reporting through o9, PowerBi, PowerPoint presentations.
  • Analyze demand, investigate variations, and forecast based on historical data, seasonality and market trends.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities and reconcile significant variances for reduction and mitigation actions.
  • Lead and drive product life cycle activities to ensure zero obsolescence.
  • Check weekly demand vs sold capacity, and elevate deviations; take actions if incorrect EDI/demand.
  • Participate in weekly demand planning and SIOP meetings to ensure deliverables.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As Supply Chain Statistical Analyst, you will be responsible and accountable for design, development and reporting of all supply chain measures enabling timely decision making.

Position Summary

As Supply Chain Statistical Analyst, you will be responsible and accountable for design, development and reporting of all supply chain measures enabling timely decision making.

You will drive operational excellence & provide a robust and fact-based 30 months rolling forecast.

You will coordinate cross-functional research activities and reconcile significant variances for its reduction and work on mitigation actions deployment and execution. You will ensure that the weekly & monthly forecast submission deadlines and allied reports are respected. You will lead and drive product life cycle activities ensure zero obsolescence.

Key Responsibilities
Demand Management
  • Responsible for weekly update of arbitrated demand using specific tool (e.g. o9 - Demand Planning)
  • Statistical Analyst & Reporting's through o9, PowerBi, PowerPoint presentations
  • Analyze demand, ask questions, investigate, challenge demand forecast based on historical data, seasonality, market trends, external events, etc
  • Manage and prepare statistical forecasts: gather, analyze and validate data
  • Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting
  • Check weekly demand vs sold capacity, demand variation vs tolerance and elevate deviations
  • Take actions if incorrect EDI/demand (e.g. EDI/demand received for obsolete PNs)
  • Work with Customer Desk Specialist and Sales Manager to validate EDI/Demand in case deviations are identified
  • Analyze gap and seek convergence of short term / long term forecast
  • Propose demand arbitrated volumes and validate them with Sales Team and Global Demand Planning
  • Proactively monitor the demand and raise the flag in case of risks (demand variations)
  • Use MAPE and BIAS for demand analysis and take actions to improve forecast accuracy
Demand Accuracy
  • Weekly check MAPE and BIAS at PN level
  • One Team: Discuss and align assumptions with CM at required & meaningful level
  • Continuous Improvements: Follow defined standards and guidelines. Propose and implement improvements
  • Check and address with improvement top offenders
Internal Alignment and Collaboration
  • GEM deployment and its substance for business process excellence
  • Drive annual SDP process and coordinate and lead key project through six sigma principles
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Desk Specials, Sales Team to align on demand forecast
  • Ensure adherence to standard demand planning, PIPO, NPI process for meet assigned functional KPIs viz. MAPE, BIAS, Inventory, E&O, Premium Freight
  • Actively participates in weekly demand planning, SIOP meetings with ensuring successful completion of assigned deliverables
  • Lead, support & report statistical analysis on demand forecast and related KPIs
  • Follow-up and adjust arbitrated demand in case change of references (dash change; phase in/phase out) to avoid excess and obsolete
Education / Qualifications
  • Post Graduate & / Bachelor’s degree on Business Administration, Engineering or related areas required
Experience
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in demand planning or customer service, sales and supply chain
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry preferred (OEM, Tier-I)
Technical Skills
Key Skills and Knowledge
  • English proficiency level; Spanish, Portuguese proficiency added advantage
  • Proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
  • Strong analytical skills
  • ERP tools viz o9, SAP skills required and other software related to demand planning preferred
  • Experienced with MS Office (Excel advanced, PowerPoint, PowerBi etc.)
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Preferred - Six Sigma Green Belt Certification / equivalent certification
