Occidental is seeking a highly motivated and driven Supplier Registration Specialist, who will be responsible for the efficient onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring seamless integration into company systems and processes, managing supplier-related changes, including mergers, acquisitions, and name modifications, maintaining accurate records, as well as overseeing updates from suppliers, including changes to banking details, addresses, email contacts, ISNetworld variance requests and other critical information, ensuring compliance and adherence to internal Policies, Procedures, Standards, and Guidelines (PPSGs), defined business practices.

Responsibilities And Expectations

• Monitor, organize and prioritize vendor master tickets and new supplier request in the Vendor Master Team Site, Ariba and SAP
• Monitor and organize ISNetworld variance requests
• Monitor team inbox and create vendor master tickets
• Monitor Verify Enrollment tasks in Ariba
• Coordinate existing supplier enablement (Ariba) set-up in liaison with AP Vendor Admin and Supplier Enablement Team
• Coordinate new supplier registration & onboarding, which includes engaging with suppliers to verify supplier information records (Supplier Registration Form) and notify supplier of onboarding status, facilitating supplier pre-qualification (Security & Legal), and liaising with AP Vendor Admin, Supplier Enablement, Security, HES, and Legal to verify supplier compliance and accuracy before system integration, enabling purchasing and payment transactions.
• Assist with supplier-related mergers, acquisitions, and name modifications, which includes engaging with suppliers to understand type of merge case (Modification form) and facilitate onboarding of new supplier and assist with aging report of acquired supplier, engaging with Contract Administrator and Buyers on creation of new Contract Workspace in Ariba, and liaising with AP Vendor Admin, Accounts Payable, Supplier Enablement, Security, HSE, Legal, and PO Close team on merge case
  
  

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related technical/analytical field.
• Strong communication skills to interface effectively across functions, and appropriately with various levels of seniority
• Excellent customer service & complaint management
• Excellent proficiency in time management and ability to assess and assign priorities accurately
• Ability to adapt and provide continued support to customers through change and uncertainty
• Ability to learn new systems / processes / applications timeously
• Ability to display judgement and make decisions independently
• Strong understanding and application of company policies and procedures
  
  

Desired

• Experience and working knowledge of ERP systems / data repository (SAP/Ariba)
• Passionate for driving compliance and standardization of controls and processes.
• Oil and gas industry knowledge and experience.
• Knowledgeable in mergers, acquisitions, name change and IRS systems
• Strong project management skills
• Experience using statistical analysis reporting tools.
