Weg-Transformers-USA seeks a skilled Supply Chain Specialist/MRO Buyer to support our Transformer Plants in Washington, Missouri. You will oversee procurement, engage with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery while optimizing cost and inventory levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • High level experience in SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must reside within workable commuting distance; no relocation assistance.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • 3–5 years purchasing experience (preferred).
  • APICS CPIM Certification (preferred).
  • Lean manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • Strong negotiation skills and supplier development capability.

Responsibilities

  • Procure materials, supplies, equipment and services through SAP.
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, quality and price.
  • Review and manage MRO inventory levels to minimize stock while ensuring availability.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers.
  • Research and evaluate new suppliers to reduce cost and improve quality and service.

Role: Supply Chain Specialist/ MRO Buyer

In this role, see yourself as a driver who makes things happen and; supporting our Manufacturing Operations working as a Supply Chain Specialist for our Transformer Plants in Washington Missouri. You will be an integral part of the SCM Team, communicating with all areas of the company and a critical component insuring the success of our organization:

Some of your Key Duties
  • Purchase , managing the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment and services through SAP.
  • Communicate with suppliers to insure deliveries, quality of supply and price are meeting the needs of the organization.
  • Review and manage MRO inventory levels to minimize inventory while also ensuring timely availability of materials.
  • Negotiation pricing and agreements with suppliers;
  • Research and develop new suppliers to reduce cost and improve quality and service;

Requirements
Basic:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience;
  • High level experience in SAP or similar ERP systems;
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate with varying levels of employees;
  • Resides within reasonable commuting distance--no relocation assistance available.
  • Has current work authorization for employment in the United States.
Preferred:
  • APICS CPIM Certification;
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience;
  • Negotiation Skills;
  • 3-5 years prior experience in purchasing role
