Job summary

Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join our manufacturing support team. You will manage inventory levels, ensure stock record accuracy, and coordinate with vendors and internal departments to maintain efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret inventory data and records
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, vendors, and management
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and tracking programs
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow simple instructions, memos, and correspondence
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding of percentages and ratios
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing more than 50 pounds occasionally in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, ensuring proper restocking and storage of items
  • Process repairs for stock, manage stock replenishment, and coordinate movement of parts to technicians for repairs
  • Control inventory from vendors, monitor stock levels, and keep within the established departmental budget; recommend adjustments to reorder points and stock levels
  • Process requisitions, monitor stock levels, enter order data, and expedite late or pending orders to ensure timely availability of parts
  • Maintain a cross-reference system for parts to ensure efficient usage and track non-conforming or defective parts
  • Collaborate with department managers to maintain budget compliance and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Participate in semi-annual physical inventory counts and work with accounting and auditors to verify accuracy
  • Source and evaluate vendors capable of providing plant-level services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Follow up on past-due orders, reduce purchase order errors, and address invoice discrepancies
  • Implement and report on cost reduction initiatives to management, driving efficiency and savings
  • Assist customer service and operations teams with parts transactions within the system
  • Place warranty claims with OEMs for defective parts and monitor warranty processes
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, quality programs, and safety procedures

About The Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Inventory Coordinator to join our team.
