Supply Chain plays an important role in keeping essential products available and helping care teams work effectively. At CHRISTUS Health, we value service, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

About The Role

The Supply Chain Technician Senior supports department operations by providing responsive customer service, strong process knowledge, and guidance to associates. This role helps ensure the accurate and timely movement of supplies throughout assigned locations, including inventory control, order picking, product scanning, and replenishment of par carts, inventory locations, and point-of-use systems. Depending on assignment, the position may also support receiving, data verification, supply reordering, and communication with Procurement.

The successful candidate uses sound judgment to resolve supply concerns, responds effectively to urgent product needs, and communicates status, estimated arrival times, and available options. Working with supply chain leadership, clinical staff, and other teams, the Senior Technician helps maintain reliable supply processes and supports continuity of care.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Candidates should have three to four years of relevant work experience, with at least two years of supply chain experience in areas such as inventory control, procurement, planning, or operations preferred. One year of demonstrated computer experience is also preferred. Hospital supply chain experience and familiarity with medical products and equipment are advantageous. No license, registration, or certification is required.

Applicants should be comfortable using Microsoft Office and supply chain applications and be able to learn the systems associated with their assignment. Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, organization, and critical-thinking skills are important. During shortages, research product availability through alternate vendors, CHRISTUS facilities, or external organizations, and arrange transportation when appropriate. Collaborate with leadership, Materials Management staff, system leaders, and local clinical teams to identify suitable product substitutions. Support Contract Launch Packet rollouts by verifying process steps, respond to INR/RNI team requests, and review supply chain and related technology systems for appropriate action.

Meet applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies for the assigned level, including Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
Benefits
