Role Overview:

Intramotev is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join our team to support our growing demands in the development and production of self-propelled rail vehicles. This role is crucial for establishing and managing our supply chain, from procurement and vendor management to internal logistics and inventory control within our manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, in-office position based out of St. Louis, MO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating with suppliers, and issuing purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Develop and manage vendor relationships and agreements, evaluating supplier performance and identifying opportunities for cost savings and quality improvements.
  • Oversee internal material management and logistics, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials within the factory to support production schedules.
  • Utilize and maintain the Odoo ERP system for all supply chain transactions, including inventory management, purchase order tracking, and vendor data.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and finance teams to forecast material needs and align procurement strategies with production goals.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Work with the quality team to ensure incoming materials meet specifications and resolve any supplier quality issues.
Team Dynamics:
  • Work within dynamic teams on diverse projects, typically ranging from small (1-2) to medium (3-6) members.

About You:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or materials management.
  • Hands-on experience with an ERP system, such as Odoo, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Willingness to expand into technical areas beyond your area of expertise; ability to develop innovative and novel approaches.
  • Open-minded and comfortable working in a teaming environment and as an individual contributor.
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English.
  • U.S. Person (immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Candidate should have a working knowledge of one or (ideally) multiple areas listed below:
  • Direct experience with Odoo ERP systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment for complex electromechanical products.
  • Experience in directly applicable industry or projects, such as Rail, Electric Vehicles, Automotive, Aerospace, or Heavy Machinery.
  • Experience negotiating and managing vendor contracts and long-term supply agreements.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Typical Education and Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years\' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
