Job summary

Xcel Energy seeks a Supply Chain Specialist in Minnesota to provide accurate, high-volume transactional work supporting timely receipt of material goods and proper online transfers in SAP. You will resolve discrepancies and research issues, exercising independent judgment.

Essential duties include processing material receipts, managing work order transfers, and moving transformers between plant codes in SAP, with emphasis on data integrity and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of related work experience in receiving material, processing orders, supply chain, accounts payable, or other relevant experience is required.
• Advanced alpha/numeric data entry skills required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process the receipt of material shipments by obtaining necessary documentation, reviewing and verifying data, resolving discrepancies, and entering receipt into SAP.
• Process work order transfers by receiving transfer requests, ensuring work orders and components are set up correctly, resolving discrepancies, and entering transfer into SAP.
• Move transformers between Xcel Energy plant codes in SAP by processing the order, receiving the transformer, and issuing.
• Other duties such as daily reconciliations, processing credit memos, monitoring invoices without receipts, training others, and filing records.

Supply Chain Specialist
Position Summary

Provide accurate, exceptional quality transactional work in a high-volume environment. Interact with various departments and employees within the Corporation to support the timely receipt of Material Goods. Ensure the proper and timely on-line transfer of materials. Research and resolve Supply Chain related issues and discrepancies. Exercises independent judgment and initiative.

• Process the movement of transformers between Xcel Energy plant codes in SAP by processing the order, receiving the transformer, and then issuing.
• Other duties as assigned which may include daily reconciliations, processing credit memos, monitoring and resolving invoices without receipts, training others within the organization, and filing accurate, complete records within the system.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of related work experience in receiving material, processing orders, supply chain, accounts payable, or other relevant experience is required.
• Ability to demonstrate advanced alpha/numeric data entry skills required.
• Self-directed and detail-oriented with the ability to learn quickly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow step by step processes along with solid critical thinking skills.

Preferred Requirements

• Proficiency in MS Office Products, highly proficient in Excel is preferred.
• Previous experience with SAP and Coupa is a plus.
• Basic understanding of Supply Chain processes/procedures preferred.
• Ability to travel to other sites, if needed.
