Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Co is seeking a Principal Project Procurement Manager to lead Source-to-Contract activities for major projects, working remotely from Cranberry Township, US. You will interface with Business Unit, Engineering, Quality and Sales teams, driving strategic procurement and cost savings.

The role requires 7+ years in strategic procurement, strong supplier management, and experience with SAP/Ariba and MS Project. Travel up to 20% and global collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field with supply chain expertise.
  • 7+ years in strategic procurement, sourcing and contract management for large projects.
  • Experience leading large cross-functional projects in global matrix organisations.
  • Strong supplier relationship management, stakeholder engagement and long-term strategies.
  • In-depth procurement processes, technical purchasing, negotiations and PO management.
  • Experience with ERP and sourcing platforms such as SAP, Ariba, e-Auction and MS Project.
  • Knowledge of nuclear or highly regulated industries; willing to travel up to 20%.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project objectives, budget, quality and schedules.
  • Lead procurement activities through the project lifecycle, ensuring readiness and cost savings.
  • Serve as primary commercial liaison among project teams, partners and suppliers.
  • Manage RFx process: supplier ID, NDA, bid evaluations, negotiations and sourcing decisions.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms and conditions to meet project requirements.
  • Monitor procurement performance with regular status, budget vs. actuals and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate to evaluate supplier capabilities and sourcing opportunities for long-term goals.

About the role:

As a Principal Project Procurement Manager you will have a strong Supply Chain (Strategy, RFx, Supplier Relationship, Contract Negotiation, and Contract Management) background with experience in purchasing of services and equipment for major projects. You will be a direct interface to our internal customers: Business Unit, Engineering, Quality and Sales Departments, and Project Managers. You will have strong commercial relationship skills towards suppliers with the goal to provide clear, and innovative solutions to the organization's requests.

You will report to the Regional Manager, Project Procurement Engineered Solutions Americas and work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with project objectives, budget, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
  • Lead all procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring readiness, execution success, risk mitigation, and achievement of cost savings targets.
  • Be the primary commercial liaison between project teams, partners, and suppliers, managing all external supplier communications and relationships.
  • Manage the full RFx process, including supplier identification, NDA preparation, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and sourcing recommendations.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, terms, and conditions to secure optimal commercial outcomes while meeting project and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor procurement performance through regular reporting on project status, budget versus actual costs, execution progress, supplier performance, and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, approved supplier processes, and contractual obligations while managing escalations and claims.
  • Collaborate with teams to evaluate supplier capabilities, market conditions, capacity constraints, and sourcing opportunities that support long-term goals
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, with supply chain and project management expertise.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, and contract management within complex project environments.
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional projects in a global, matrixed organizations.
  • Expertise in supplier relationship management, supplier strategies, and long-term stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience of procurement processes, technical purchasing, contract negotiations, and purchase order management.
  • Experience with ERP and sourcing platforms such as SAP, Ariba, e-Auction tools, Microsoft Project, or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of the nuclear or other highly regulated industries, with the ability to represent the organization with customers, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $90,000 to $112,500 per year.
