Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Project Manager I – Supply Chain Control (Import Transportation Operations) in South Carolina to coordinate import movement plans, manage dray operations, and optimize costs. The role emphasizes stakeholder collaboration, data-driven tracking, and implementation of business solutions within the supply chain.

Bachelor’s degree required with 1 year of project management experience or 3 years in related roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field.
• 1 year of experience in task/project management, enterprise, or operations (or 3 years in challenge control, enterprise, operations, or related area).
• Experience with supply chain or transportation operations preferred.
• Six Sigma or similar project management certification is desirable.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with sponsors and stakeholders.
• Lead multiple small initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders and aligning requirements.
• Communicate task plans and schedules to teams and stakeholders.
• Apply up-to-date knowledge to develop and improve movement plans; provide guidance.
• Assist in implementing business solutions and ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Provide operational support for imported products with DC operations and destination cargo managers.
• Manage import dray operations from port to import DCs and mitigate detention costs.
• Control outbound transportation from import DC to downstream nodes.
• Track performance and deliver insights to improve outcomes.
