This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.Essential Functions:Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliersInitiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliersIn conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedulesWorks with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products requiredIdentifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiationsIssues purchase ordersManages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulationsEmploys sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activitiesEnsures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recordedReviews and approves supplier payment as neededUtilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvementPosition Description:Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers. Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.This role may be filled at a Level 1 or Level 2 based at the qualifications outlined below.Basic Qualifications:Associate Supply Chain Procurement Specialist (Level 1)Bachelor's Degree; or High School Diploma and a minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, and/or supplier managementExperience with Excel, and reportingAbility to Obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret level Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet it's business needs (after starting).Supply Chain Procurement Specialist (Level 2)Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience; or a Master's Degree; or a High School Diploma and a minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, and/or supplier managementExperience with Excel, and reportingAbility to Obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret level Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet it's business needs (after starting).Preferred Qualifications:Experience or familiarity with purchasing servicesExperience in SAP, MRPActive U.S Government Secret ClearancePrimary Level Salary Range: $49,400.00 - $74,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $59,600.00 - $89,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
