Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in San Diego, CA is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist (level 2) onsite to join our fast-paced team and support program managers, contracts, operations, and engineering.

You will develop supply chain strategy, manage suppliers, monitor material cost/performance, and ensure EVMS alignment while maintaining delivery metrics and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years in supply chain/material planning in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • US citizenship is required for this role.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems and EVMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop supply chain strategy and lead activities for GSC in all phases of planning and execution.
  • Manage suppliers on cost, schedule, quality, and performance.
  • Assess material shortages, flag time-critical purchases, and drive acceleration.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally, direct communication, and integrate efforts across all GSC functions.
  • Brief the GSCPM, Program Management, and Operations on status, risks & opportunities, and issues affecting program performance.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
