Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist in Commerce, CA to coordinate end-to-end material strategy and supplier needs onsite. You will liaise with program management, operations, quality and engineering to align on deliverables and schedules within the Mission Enabling Products unit.

Preferred candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of supply chain or related experience, familiarity with CostPoint and SAP, and knowledge of ITAR/FAR/DFARS in aerospace

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of supply chain or logistics experience, or 9+ years without a degree.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and purchasing workflows.
  • Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Represent supply chain in IPT with PM, Ops, QA, and Eng for Commerce, CA site.
  • Define end-to-end material strategy and assess resources and demand priorities.
  • Review non-standard parts, analyze lead times, drive critical-path procurements.
  • Attend internal daily and escalation IPT reviews and communicate site status.

As a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.The Principal Supply Chain Planning Analyst is responsible for representing Supply Chain within an IPT with Program Management, Operations, Quality and Engineering for the Commerce, CA facility within the Mission Enabling Products Business Unit in the Payload and Ground Division within the Space Systems sector.This position is based onsite in Commerce, CA. This is not a telecommuting position. No relocation will be providedCandidate will serve as liaison between supply chain and program management, planning, quality, engineering, and operations. Review status of projects, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assess supply chain related Program issues and in conjunction with purchasing, develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Will be fully engaged with the Global Supply Chain (GSC) team and other cross-functional teams to develop and implement integrated system tools and processes within the Business Unit (BU).Primary Responsibilities:Works under general supervision to represent supply chain onsite for coordinating and communicating procurement and subcontractor supplier needs and activityDefine and execute end-to-end material strategy, including assessment of supply resources and prioritization of demand requirementsReview requirements for non-standard parts, analyze lead times, and identify/drive critical-path procurementsRepresent supply chain in internal daily and escalation meetings IPT reviews on programs and site status, as pertaining to supply chain, including execution issues and any other items that may impact ability to deliver. Understanding deliverables, due dates and basic technical knowledge of the assigned systems.Collaborates with internal functions, including Program, Operations, Quality and Engineering to ensure requirements are met in accordance with internal customer needs and to NG policies and procedures.Collaborate with buyers, supplier performance and supplier quality to understand systemic or major issues at suppliers that require coordination with site functionsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, business/project management, or logistics. Or in lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience in supply chain, business/project management, or logisticsSolid understanding of supply chain processes and proceduresExperience with general manufacturing and purchasing workflowsHigh level of proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP systems/toolsMust be able to obtain and maintain a security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Experience with Machining and Welding Industry, supporting Aerospace applicationsCostPoint (Deltek) and/or SAP software programs experienceExperience supporting production centers in the Aerospace and/or Defense industryExperience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, FAR and DFARSPrimary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
