Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, responsibilities of the Supply Chain Planning Manager encompass all functions related to the operational implementation, project management, and monitoring of key Supply Chain strategies. This position will be responsible for continuously improving the complete supply chain strategy to drive cost reductions, efficiencies, and on-time delivery.
The Supply Chain Planning Manager manages approximately 8 direct reports and oversees other staff members working collaboratively to meet operational objectives.
Implement a supply chain planning strategy in support of customer needs. Drive best industry practices within the organization and the supporting supply base. Leverage PCC Corporate organization in support of strategic supply chain initiatives.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop planners, expeditors, and production controllers.
- Lead the strategic development of manufacturing plans and master schedules.
- Own projects related to new business transition and award implementation, ensuring efficient and rapid launch aligned with operational strategy.
- Develop key metrics for the supply chain department to drive on-time delivery, reduce shortages, and maintain plant capacity.
- Develop and implement plans to maximize schedule flexibility, minimize inventory exposure, and reduce risks, while maintaining performance to cost targets.
- Implement programs for lead-time reduction within the supply chain. Measure and report on project status internally and to customers.
- Manage lead times, MOQs, order rates, inventory levels, and delivery plans. Maintain existing metrics related to demand, service, inventory management, and order points. Lead process and system improvements.
- Monitor supply chain performance, report monthly results, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions. Focus on continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and execute supply chain improvements, proactively communicating constraints and demand growth opportunities.
- Work with internal teams and customers, utilizing tools like 5S and Lean techniques, to improve processes and reduce costs.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Inventory Management, or Business.
- 5+ years of supply chain management experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Preferred CPIM certification through APICS or C.P.M. certification through ISM.
- Training in Kan Ban, JIT, Lean Manufacturing, and pull systems is preferred.
- Experience with JDE or Syteline is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, team development, project management, and technical skills.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
