CSG Talent seeks an experienced Supply Chain Director to lead planning, materials, inventory and warehouse operations at a large-scale food manufacturing site. You will guide MRP, production scheduling and inventory management to ensure on-time, cost-efficient customer fulfillment.

The role collaborates with Production, Procurement, Sales, Quality and Operations to drive continuous improvement and build high-performing teams across planning, materials, inventory control and warehouse functions.

  • Provide leadership across warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, staging and shipping.
  • Monitor shortages, service levels and shipment performance; drive issue resolution with Sales and Operations.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Director to lead planning, materials, inventory and warehouse operations within a large-scale food manufacturing environment. This is a highly operational, site-level leadership role, responsible for ensuring the effective flow of materials from demand planning through production and ultimately to customer fulfillment. The role will lead teams across Supply Planning, Materials, Inventory Control and Warehouse Operations , while partnering closely with Production, Procurement, Sales, Quality and Operations. The successful candidate will combine strong technical supply chain expertise with hands-on operational leadership, with particular strength across MRP, production scheduling, inventory management and warehouse operations .

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply Planning & Production Scheduling Translate demand and S&OP inputs into an executable site supply plan. Lead production planning and scheduling to align capacity, materials and customer requirements. Identify supply, capacity and material constraints and develop solutions. Improve planning accuracy, schedule adherence and customer service levels. Ensure production schedules are achievable and supported by material availability.
  • MRP & Materials Management Lead site-level MRP and materials planning activities. Maintain appropriate planning parameters, inventory policies and system data. Ensure raw materials are available to support production requirements. Identify and resolve material shortages, excess inventory and supply risks. Partner with Procurement to improve supplier performance and material availability.
  • Inventory & Working Capital Own inventory performance across raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods. Improve inventory accuracy and optimize working capital. Reduce excess, obsolete and expired inventory. Develop inventory strategies that balance service, availability and cost. Establish reporting and KPIs to identify inventory trends and opportunities.
  • Warehouse Operations Provide leadership across site warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, staging and shipping. Lead and develop Warehouse Management teams. Improve warehouse efficiency, utilization, accuracy and operating costs. Ensure warehouse processes effectively support production and customer fulfillment. Maintain strong controls around inventory movements, storage and material handling. Partner with Operations and Quality to maintain appropriate food manufacturing and storage standards.
  • Customer Fulfillment Ensure supply chain activities support strong customer service and on-time shipment performance. Monitor shortages, service failures and shipment performance. Partner with Customer Service, Sales and Operations to resolve fulfillment issues. Identify opportunities to improve service levels while controlling supply chain costs.
  • Continuous Improvement & Performance Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs across planning, inventory, warehouse and fulfillment. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and cost performance. Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Use data and performance trends to drive operational decision-making. Develop standardized processes and ensure compliance with operating procedures.
  • Leadership & Strategy Lead and develop teams across Planning, Materials, Inventory Control and Warehouse Operations. Set clear objectives and performance expectations. Develop site supply chain strategy in alignment with broader business objectives. Manage supply chain budgets, operating expenses and capital requirements. Build strong cross-functional relationships across Production, Procurement, Sales, Quality, Engineering and Operations.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for a senior supply chain professional with strong site-level manufacturing experience and a proven track record across planning, materials, inventory and warehouse operations.

Essential Experience
  • Significant experience within a manufacturing supply chain environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MRP, supply planning and production scheduling .
  • Proven experience managing inventory and materials planning .
  • Direct leadership experience across warehouse operations .
  • Experience managing multiple supply chain functions at a manufacturing site.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing planning systems and ERP environments.
  • Experience working in a complex, high-volume manufacturing operation.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
  • Large-scale food & beverage manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with D365 or a similar manufacturing ERP system.
  • ASCM/CPIM or equivalent supply chain qualification.
  • Experience with S&OP and translating demand plans into executable supply plans.
  • Experience managing significant inventory and working-capital initiatives.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and operational cost reduction.
