Job summary

AMPAM is seeking an Operations Manager to lead Supply Chain and Logistics in Carson, CA. The role focuses on transforming warehouse, logistics, and fabrication support operations to improve efficiency and service levels across Southern California.

You will partner with Planning, Procurement, Prefabrication, and Field Operations to deliver scalable processes, drive performance, and support AMPAM’s growth while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or related fields.
• Experience leading operational improvement, process optimization, or transformation.
• Strong leadership across multiple frontline teams.
• Experience with KPIs and SOPs.
• Construction or industrial operations experience is desirable.

What You’ll Do

• Lead warehouse, logistics, fabrication support, and material flow operations.
• Optimize warehouse layout, staging, inventory flow, and operational efficiency.
• Improve routing, dispatch, loading accuracy, and job‑site delivery performance.
• Develop and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and operational best practices.
• Establish meaningful KPIs and performance metrics to improve accountability and operational visibility.
• Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse, logistics, and fabrication support teams.
• Partner closely with Planning, Procurement, Prefabrication, and Field Operations to ensure seamless material flow.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve customer service.
• Champion safety, compliance, and operational excellence across all functions.

What You Bring

Experience

• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, construction operations, or related environments.
• Experience leading operational improvement, process optimization, or organizational transformation.
• Strong leadership experience managing frontline teams across multiple operational functions.
• Experience implementing KPIs, SOPs, and performance management systems.
• Construction, MEP, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial operations experience is highly desirable.

Skills

• Strong operational leadership and organizational development skills.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Experience with ERP, warehouse management, logistics, or inventory systems is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• AutoCAD or fabrication‑related experience is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, hands‑on leadership environment.

Compensation

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $100,000–$120,000+ annually.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, leadership background, operational expertise, and overall qualifications.
