Job summary

Mohawk Global is seeking a bright-minded Supply Chain Operations Intern for our Rochester, NY and Buffalo, NY offices. You will support imports, match freight loads with carriers, track shipments, and help with data analysis under Leadership guidance.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, effective communication with carriers, and collaboration to reach team goals. This internship offers exposure to third-party logistics and freight forwarding in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Matriculated rising undergraduate student majoring in business, logistics, supply chain management or related discipline.
• Experience in negotiating with service providers and problem solving for mutual benefit (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support branch operations with respect to imports, including opening shipment files and auditing documentation.
• Efficiently match available freight loads with available carrier options
• Track shipments, contact carriers, perform data entry and analysis to support decision making, filing, and other duties as instructed by Leadership team
• Assist with industry research using the internet
• Participate in meetings to observe company process and enhance learning
• Communicate regularly with carriers and agents to build long‑term, trusted partnerships and sell Mohawk services
• Negotiate pricing and prepare quotes for clients
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals
