Job summary

Takeya USA is seeking a Supply Chain & Operations Coordinator to support end-to-end processes across sales, purchasing, production, warehousing, and transportation.

You will own PO management, BOM accuracy, inventory reporting, and cross-functional communication to drive service levels and cost efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

This on-site California role requires collaboration with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal teams, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Supply Chain, Business, Operations, etc.).
  • 1–3 years in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, inventory, or operations (CPG experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in Excel (filters, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred).
  • Familiarity with product costing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain & Order Coordination: own PO management, track shipments, generate invoices and documents, and ensure data integrity in customer portals.
  • Collaborate with sales and accounts to bring programs to market and maintain data compliance.
  • Inventory & Data Accuracy: monitor levels, conduct cycle counts, and prepare inventory reports.
  • Logistics & Shipment Management: schedule shipments, confirm documents, and communicate status to stakeholders.

Reports to:Senior Manager, Global Supply Chain

Work location:[On-site / Hybrid / Remote]

Compensation: The hourly pay range for this California position is$25.00–$28.00 per hour. The actual rate offered will depend on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and business needs.

Remote work eligibility: This position is open only to candidates whose primary work location is in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone.

Position Summary

The Supply Chain & Operations Coordinator supports the end-to-end supply chain process to ensure smooth coordination across sales, purchasing, production, warehousing, and transportation. This role helps manage purchase order operations, commercial order requirements, product BOMs, inventory reporting, and cross-functional communication to support customer service and business goals.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Order Coordination
  • Support Direct Import Customers (i.e. Costco & OEM partners) through the order management process by owning:
  • Purchase order management in collaboration with Sourcing
  • Tracking and receiving shipment information
  • Generating Commercial Invoices, Regional Import Documents, and Packing Lists to support shipments from factories to customers
  • Record and transmit all documents through customer portals (i.e. InforNexus)
  • Collaborate with sales and key accounts to bring programs and products to market.
  • Create, process, and maintain purchase orders (POs) in the ERP system.
  • Coordinate with key accounts to maintain data compliance, accuracy, and integrity within customer platforms.
  • Ensure product costing and BOM details are accurate across systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal teams to resolve delays, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Support allocation and replenishment activities to maintain product availability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate production priorities, confirm lead-times and capacity with factory partners.
  • Partner with Sales to support selling process, account-specific requirements, and order management.
  • Support Demand Planning by providing supply updates, constraints, and lead-time changes.
  • Ensure Quality team is aware of all compliance and testing protocols required for go to market.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (process efficiency, cost reduction, service levels).
Inventory & Data Accuracy
  • Monitor inventory levels, open orders, and backorders; elevate risks of stockouts or overstocks.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and root-cause investigation for variances.
  • Maintain accurate item, vendor, and shipment data in ERP/WMS systems.
  • Prepare inventory and supply chain reports (lead times, fill rate, on-time delivery, etc.).
Logistics & Shipment Management
  • Schedule and track inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Confirm shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, invoices) for accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicate shipment status updates to internal stakeholders (customer service, sales, warehouse).
  • Support freight cost tracking and assist with carrier performance review.
Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with retailers, distributors, or eCommerce fulfillment.
  • Experience with Order Management Portals (InforNexus, EXP.NOW, etc.)
  • Familiarity with freight terms (FOB, lead times, LTL/FTL, 3PL operations).
  • Experience with forecasting, demand planning, or S&OP support.
  • Knowledge of WMS systems and inventory control practices.
