Job summary

Motorola Solutions is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Scheduler for our Salt Lake City facility. You will bridge HQ supply chain strategy with shop-floor execution to ensure shipment goals through precise planning and proactive communication.

You will orchestrate production, align logistics, and act as SME for material planning systems while leading daily meetings and mitigating shortages. This role requires on-site work and travel for training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Four years factory scheduling experience.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Ability to work 100% on-site in Salt Lake City.
• Travel limited to Los Angeles for training during initial months.

Responsibilities

• Production orchestration: develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet shipment goals.
• Logistics alignment: coordinate outbound shipping with production schedule for on-time delivery.
• Systems mastery: serve as site SME for material planning and scheduling systems.
• Strategic reporting: lead daily production meetings with schedule clarity and bottlenecks outlook.
• Shortage management: identify material gaps, execute expedite actions and risk mitigation.
• Cross-functional synergy: liaise between Site Management and HQ Materials to align local and global objectives.
• Operational excellence: support SQDC KPIs by optimizing inventory flow and shipping priorities.

Job Description

As the Manufacturing Scheduler for our new Salt Lake City facility, you will be the heartbeat of our production flow. You will bridge the gap between HQ Supply Chain strategy and factory-floor execution, ensuring our shipment goals are met through precise planning and proactive communication.

• Production Orchestration: Based on available materials and lead times, develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to ensure 100% attainment of shipment goals.
• Logistics Alignment: Coordinate all outbound shipping activities in direct alignment with the production schedule to ensure seamless transitions from the shop floor to customer delivery.
• Systems Mastery: Serve as the site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all material planning and scheduling systems.
• Strategic Reporting: Lead daily production meetings, providing transparent updates on schedule clearness, potential bottlenecks, and the long-term monthly outlook.
• Shortage Management: Partner with the Manufacturing Supply Planner to identify material gaps; execute expedite activities and risk-mitigation strategies to prevent downtime.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Act as the primary liaison between Site Management and HQ Materials to align local operations with global supply chain objectives.
• Operational Excellence: Support site-wide KPIs across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) by optimizing inventory flow and shipping priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to influence without direct authority.
• Ability to work in a team environment and dynamically align to changing business conditions.
• Oracle Value Chain Applications (ASCP) a plus.
• APICS Certified (CPIM) a plus.

Target Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
