Job summary

JMJ Phillip Group is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager for a hands-on role in a small-to-mid sized manufacturing operation in New Castle, Delaware. You will oversee procurement, inventory, planning, and logistics, while leading a team and driving continuous improvement.

The role requires strong SAP knowledge, analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate with senior leadership to improve cost control and operational reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain management within manufacturing.
• Strong SAP and SCM systems knowledge.
• Experience overseeing procurement, inventory, logistics, and material planning.
• Experience managing a small team.
• Experience managing significant inventory levels and costs.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite with manufacturing and management teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily supply chain operations including procurement, inventory management, planning, and logistics.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to support production requirements and business objectives.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and supplies to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain relationships with vendors and business partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
• Oversee inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory records across the facility.
• Manage inventory planning and replenishment to balance material availability with working capital requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with suppliers.
• Coordinate material movement, shipping, receiving, and logistics activities.
• Lead, supervise, and develop a team of approximately 4–6 direct reports.
